I have promised myself that every third book i read will be a book from this list. As you notice I have ot read any shakespeare, Austen, Dickens or other classical litterature. Why not. Hmm lets just say I had a teacher in school that killed my urge to read those books. Kid storeys, well those are all english I am swedish and are raised reading Astrid Lindgren, Elsa beskow etc instead. Some I might have read, but not sure of title in Swedish etc (will look up when I get home to my child libraby at my parents place).
