Squirrel/mole/

We are not quite sure what Silvra was in her earlier life but Mole, Squirrel or any climbing crawling curious species is on top of the list.

Any small crevices that she can climb into is a favorite. I try to catpure her on camera, but usually she has disaperaed by the time the camera is out.

Three years

Today it is exactly three years since I pick up my dear cats and went of the road with the car and ended up in a tree.

I still don't like the feeling when the car tires loose grip on slippery surfaces, my shoulder is still not ok even though my tendons are healed the collarbone is not always happy with me.

Meet "Findus"

Our neighbours got a kitten, for some reason he decided to move to our place!

We are not sure about his name but we call him "Findus" after the cat in Petterson and Findus....

Rest in peace!

You came into my life 13 december 2007 and have since brought me joy and laugther, comfort when I was sad and amazement from all your creative misciefs that you did.

In februari you were not well and I brought you to the veterinarian to get checked, but you came home all clear and more energetic and lovly as ever. Yesterday you started getting worse and today my dad had to take you to the veterinarian again. There we found out that your kidneys had collapsed and were not functioning at all so the decision was made to put you to sleep since the other option were not an option that would give you the life that you deserve.

You walked into my heart and put a mark there, but its nothing compared with what marks you put on my dad.

We will remeber you forever!

Worlds worst cat owner

I forgot to buy catfood last night....
that means this morning I had two starving cats. Threw myself into the car and drove to the gasstation that was open.

The only catfood they have there is friskies. I might as well have given them some cereal instead (if you look at nutritional value)

Tip of the day

If you are using hair removal cream on your legs make sure you close the bathroomdoor proprely so that the cat can't get in and walk along your legs.

HAve a qute upset cat in the couch after we had to clean his tail before the hairremoval started working its magic or he started cleaning it.

New scrathpole

A couple of weeks ago I won a bid on Tradera for a new scratchpole to my cats.

It arrived with door to door delivery to my job andthis is what it looked like when I unpacked the box......

There was also a description in how to put it together....


While I was working on the final pieces Silvra jumped onto the first level (took another 3 days before both dared to get any higher, Now they are fighting about sleeping on top level)

cat and mouse; Predator and prey

My dear baby has grown up so fast.

Today Silvra caught her first mouse. And ofcourse when you catch your first prey you need to show it to your mom (me) (thank god the door was closed, has had enough of mouse hunting indoors from previous cats).

She wasn't quite sure what to do with it and since mice was healthy (no visible wounds) I did the merciful and brought my baby with me inside and let the mouse run of in to the busch again. I'm all for letting my animals act out their natural behaviour, but when they don't now how to kill and eat, but just play around with it I do interfere and save the prey.

And while all this was happening her brother was laying in the basementwindow looking out.

Silvra just had to join her brother after she came in (pissed of at me because I let the mouse go).

New record- 4 seconds

After I unfolded the Ikea bag and sotis decided that it was his. Laundry in general is really exiting in my house it seems like. Think is a combination of something coming from the room they are never allowed to enter (closet), smells and that it comes in these funny bags....

And then he refused to leave even when I was filling it up with sorted laundry. He almost looked like he enjoyed being underneath all those clothes in a small space....

Cat in bag take 2

When sis jumps into my purses and paper bags

her brother thinks that my weekend bag is the best sleeping quarters ever. Because that means it will take longer for me to fill it.
Or it might be to make sure that I won't forget him, since we might be going to my parents place where you are actually aloud to go outside!

An upgrade?

My cats scratching tree have become to small and I need to upgrade it to a larger one.

This would be the dream one, but I think I will look for a little smaller one. They are getting quite big and I think a decent tree will give them what they need in exercise and luxury.
