Silver rings

In december I was with my mom shopping for christmas gifts. She was so happy because I actually wished for new earings in christmas gift. This thing with buying jewellery to me has been her achillesheel since I can remember.

With jewellery as with clothes I became quite picky in my teens (to say the least, this does not mean I had style in my teens) and there was a lot of fights over why I was not wearing some of the items I was given. I am also the kind of girl that accepts gifts and don't complain (to much). At one point I was given a silver necklace form my grandmam that I remeber at that point saying this is a guys chain and being told that this is not the case. I hated that chain (still do) but shut up and wore it a couple of times to please. Years and years later I was asked why I never wore that chain or if I had lost it and I said the same thing its a guy chain.

This never ending fight and me inheriting quite alot of jewellery resulted in me and my mother coming to an agreement that she is not allowed to buy and jewellery unless I specifically ask for it. This is the best thing that has ever happened to me. No Ihave not been able to point and say I want this, but I have been able to request whay type of jewellery I want (silver or gold this is, not fake cheap stuff).

Ohwell christmas it was looking at earringsI fell in love with thise clawring, not a basic everyday earing that I wished for. Anyhow today when I was downtown looking for new cool compressionsocks to wear when running Göteborgsvarvet in 2 weeks I stepped into Guldfynd to  have a look. And to my luck the clawring was on 50% sale. Guess who was happy leaving that store. Walking home i took a new route due to a running competition in town and saw that the antiqueshop was open. I stepped in to have a look at the paintings. I left the shop with two silver rings, a plain simple one from 1920 and a more elaborate from 1930.

I realized when I got home that these are my first silver rings I have bought since high school. I have been given three rings since. A silver ring from A for my bachelors of Science graduation, a gold ring I designed myself for my double bachelors and inherited my Daisy duck ring from grandma. Other than that I have bought one fake ring since high school.

I know that this is the place during my stay here in Catemaco that I will do most shopping. Not to mention deplete their Iced tea storage ( I hope you are stocking up on Berry blues).

So yes I have done more shopping there since my first week in Catemaco.

What I bought was a beautiful tunic with tigers on.

A purple dress that is perfect for the weather here.

A brightly coloured bracelet that I wear most days, the turqoise one I got when I visited Nanciyaga with my supervisor the other week.

Yesterday I opened the big spender wallet. I bought a beautiful bowl to keep my toothbrush and makeup in and a bracelet.

And no I didn't go bankrupt.

Christams gift

I am the best at streching out birthdays and christams gifts. I think this is the last christmas gift, but I know its not the last birthday gift. There is atleast one more out there.

Lost and found

Almost a year ago I lost my silver heart. This was given to me by my grandfathers, brothers wife when I was four. I have turned the flat inside out looking for it. Have looked everywhere except


IN the jewellery box where I keep my silver seahorse and flippers. When opening that box the other day on the same silver chain was my beloved heart. I don't even think you can imagine the joy I felt when I found it.

Home made

After a friends dauhgter have over time pulled all the elastics out of a set of bracelts I decided that I would make a necklace and bracelet our of it instead. This is how it turned out:

Snoopy

This must be my students favorite necklace. I have never worn a piece of jewllery that get so many comments in a day when I wear it & even other days they can come up and ask why I'm not wearing him.

It must be the bling & his joints that they are loving.

Thai gifts

My parents left med in the cold and went to Thailand for three weeks while we froze our asses of here.

This is what they got me while away (plus a full tank of gas for my car).

two pearl bracelets and one in jade plus three pairs of silver earings.




They had strickt limits in what they were allowed to buy for me. Didn't want any fake brands only jewellery if they found anything suitable.

net-a-porter has some nice things!
Fell in love with these the other week when I was cruising the sit. I have the perfect outfit for both these in my closet. Now I just need to find some extra cash hiding to be able to buy them. Until that day I'll just wear them in my imagination!

earplugs for work?

A pair of crown studded earplugs might be something for me to use at work. I do wear earplugs, but since we are not allowed hanging jewellery it might be a bit thard tot pull it of when thinking of worksafety.

Me and a friend were going to the library yesterday. Frst we just had to stop by some stores and have alook around.

I found:

A jump suit (finally one that fits)

A new pair of party shoes (on sale)

I seem to have misplaced my favorite pair of earrings!



Didn't think I brought them with me on tuesday, but if they don't reappear soon it doesn't look better :(

And these were my replacements for another favorite pair that actually broke.

Grandmas pearls

I have the dress for the wedding, looking for shoes (have a backup pair) and now I foud the necklace. In moms jewellry table. hehe yes our family has just a teeny tiny bit of that. Having a grandma that loved jewllery and dad being only child mom got some good suff outof it ( so did I)




Found this gorgeous three strand peal necklace while looking for something that would work with the dress.

Its chryslas in it to, sits perfect around my neck. Now its just to find a bracelet and hopefully a new strap for my silver watch.Planning to burow moms pearl earings already.

Next week its time for hairdresser to get it cut & coloured ino something duable

I just love jewellry have had obsessions recently about necklaces and before that earings, but now it seems thatI waqnt to decorate my wrists more than any thing and these lovley babies that you can all get from kyssjohanna I wouldn't mind owning right now.

the first one is the three charm bracelet from ONE OF A KIND, second one I would love a tuqoise enamel bracelt especially the wide model. the bottom ones are fro CC skye and well lets just face it the blue leather with gold chain and the white enamel one would just be lovely with many outfits in my wardrobe.

Lee Angel have made this gorgeous but still simple bracelet that would work great as an everyday wear bareclet fro me.
To have it together with my other silverbracelts that I noramally wear would just be the top of the icing.

Rachel Leigh necklace

I had a look at this at Acessora and though t would be the cutest necklace to have this summer with a dress on a looong silver chain.
But after bumping into it today in a shop and realize that it is HUGE. prett but way to big :(

Oh well t saved me some $ and I'll just have to look for another cute pendant in a better size. Really like it still bt nothing hat I wld ever wear because of the size.
