Hiking shoes

For my Mexico trip a friend of mine told me to get a pair of hiking shoes instead of using my hikingboots. She had felt because of the climate and the prolonged wear of the boots that it got to hot and hence she bought a thinner pair in Mexico.

So instead of lugging a pair of heavy hiking boots with me I went and bought a pair of Haglöfs hiking shoes. After only having worn them while flying this far it feels good. We need to get used to eachother, but that will happend soon enough I'm sure of.

Best christmas gifts!

since I'm two months late I'll just keep on my christmas run.

My new computer was the best gift but after that it was my friends that had the best gifts:

new pj's from australia (the only country in the world that does pj's i just LOVE)

and then it was the lipbalm in the advent calendar

Advent calendar

I know I know this is late!!

But each year I ask a friend to fill my advent calandar with something. I give them between €10-20 and they get to fill it for me.

This year my dear friend Holly Hock did it for me and this is what I got:

chocolate (lots and lots and lots of amazing chocolate from around the world), lipbalm, some gunk and lots of beautiful poems on red notes (not sure what to do with them, thining of getting a frame or two for them)

Valentines day

A day for loved ones to spend together and show each other how much they love eachother.

I'm no ones loved one this year & quite happy for that. That also means that I don't celebrate V-day!


Correction: Was happy until some red roses arrived at my door. Given to the man that don't seem to undertsnad what NO I AM NOT INTERESTED IN YOU!!!! mena s! (I have had this talk with him so many times now that its getting rediculous)

3 days in one week

this is a record hard to break.

Today will be my third day at the beach, the fourth for the the whole summer.
Fingers crossed that I might get a fifth day in before we start work again next thursday.

AND for the record.

On August 7th 2009 I took my first swim in the ocean for the year (a couple of months later then usual)

Oh well

They won again!!

Now I need to sleep and try to be cheerful tomorrow!!

Summer, Sun and Study

Its wonderful on the balcony and the holiday feeling has started to set in.

But I'm sitting indoors staring at the computer screen trying to write a paper about envinonmental enrichment for captive bears. It is one of the more fun and easiest papers I have ever had to do. But am struggeling with focusing on the topic.

Oh well I'll just sit on balcone alittle and have some icecream while brain is working....

HAPPY MIDSUMMER

9 weeks holiday

My 9 weeks holiday started today and I just can't belive it (yet).

before I can start enjoyng it fully I need to get two uni assignments out of the way and then its just relaxation the rest of the time.

14

14 working days to go!!

Then I have 9 weeks of holiday !!

But until then I have 2 assignments to write, a new uni course to starts, 2 central courses days (for each course) about 40 lectures and 17 parent-teacher conferences to hold.

Spring break!!

Spring break has started with the sun shinig and the temperature going over 15 degrees at 8.30 AM!!

Keep fingers crossed its stays like that for a couple of days now. My plans for this week long break is to:

1. fix up my balcony
2. finish renovations in my spare room, my dad is coming over easter to help me with the wallpapers and other handy stuff.
3. Change my closet from winter to summer clothes
4. try to enjoy the sun as much as possible, unfortunately not a lot of time in stable due to both horses I ride is currently injured (no not my fault)
5. get part of my uni assingment done by tonight (Latest!)
6. RELAX!!!

St Patricks day

This is one of my favorite holidays. Any excuse to party right? And that its two of my friends birthday does it all soo much better.

This year I almost forgot it though. So now I'm sitting here with a Danish beer and not an Irish. Okok I can't get a guiness down and Kilkenny barely, so I usually drink something alot lighter in colour when its st Patricks day, but fogetting it that is in excusable.

Time to move tot a country where they atually celebrate it so that there is NO risk of forgetting it.

Summer reading

I had this little pile of books that I was planning to read this summer....

Have not dented it as much as I wish this farr I have only read 2 (harry potter and well not sre what t was called now)

am currently working on 'the devil wears prada (forgot it at home) and instead I decided that maybe I should finally read the ninth cave by Jean M auel. So said and done




As you might have guesed by the end of summer my total no of books will be 2½ (maybe 3) since I onlyy have 7 days left and well let me tell you this is not a book that you finish in a day or two (hardcopy 750 pages it weighs a ton) and the weather have not bin fair for reading in sun either.

Have read a little bit here and there since midsummer (potter and this other book hd to go first though)
