When the sun came out

I am looking through the photos that I have on my SD card in my camera. It has been a while since I actually felt like taking a photo or dealing with them afterwards.

I cam up on this from Kolmården this fall. I had been photographin the animals on the savannah and suddenly the sun came out, I didn't realise this fast enough and had different settings.

I do like the cool effect of the zebras.....

It also gives you a perspective how different animals see different things depending on how their eyes are located (2D or 3D) and if you are a monocromati, dicromatic or tricromatic animals.

Had the most relaxing weekend at my friends place. Lots of talking, delicious red wine, bubbles, amazing food, 5 months old border collie Ki and ofcourse lets not forget Nilo.

Only downside, sleeping on the couch with two dogs trying to convince you that they are allowed to sleep there to.....

Hybrids

Sometimes my students ask me questions that I can not answer and there is not enough time (or place) for them to look up the answer during class. In cases like this and if it is something that may be relevant to the topic I promise to look into it for their next class.

I was a subteacher for a colleague before easter break and got a question about crossing horses and zebras with each other, what its called, if they are fertile ect etc. I have now learned they are called a zorse (zebroid).

I have now spent 4 hours reading about animal hybrids and I get more andmore scared what crossings and breedings programs there actually exist.

At the moment it is li/ti-tigon/liger crossings I'm reading up on.

Think I might have to dedicate a full lecture on this!
