Wear and tear

I am a person that loves to shop and buy new things. But I am also a person that never ever ever throw away items that are not worn to pieces.

I have managed to convince myself on several occasions that I need to give items to charity and that I do.

what I find interesting is how much underwear some people seem to be purchasing a year. I think on average I might buy 2 new bras a year and knickers I have no clues (I buy those when I'm in desperate need of new ones). Yes since I have a small bra size I know that I don't put as much strain on them as a person with a D-cup. But still. How many bras do a person need honestly?

Will get back some day on these thoughts.....

Op shop bargain

After heading home from a great redwine evening at a friends place she tipped me about an op shop close by. When driving by the shop was open so I figured I was just going to look around a little. I swear half the shop could have followed me home but settled for this:

Two books:four novels by Charles dickend and an Charlotte Brönte book.

A coffe cup with matching tray

A copper set

And if this is not a bargain I don't know. I paid €6 for all of it.

Second hand shopping

A couple of weeks ago I attended a party where I needed to find a yellowish shirt for my outfit.
I managed to find a horrendous one that I bought, but at the same time I found this awsome ralph Lauren skirt for €3 that I couldn't resist.

It has now become my comfy shirt that I wear with tights or skinny leg jeans & it is just marvelous.

Second hand shopping

In may I went and visited a friend on the east coast and she dragged me to a second hand marekt oneof the days. I'll tell you it was so much fun and I did manage to do some nice finds.

My salt and pepper seals were just so cute that I couldn't resist them.

Then I found some pots for my plants, have two cats that have severely depleted my plantpot collection and thinks new ones are to expensive.

These serving platters I found early during the day, but didn't buy them. Buy the time we were leaving I was still think on them so we stopped by to see if they were still there. They are handpainted & I think they are just gorgeous.
